Claridges have developed this privacy policy in order to demonstrate our commitment to the privacy of your data and to comply with our obligations under the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Personal data is information or any combination of separate pieces of information that could be used to identify you.

This privacy policy applies to both visitors who are registered on our website or contact Claridges in respect of a property we are marketing and to clients who retain Claridges.  It is accordingly divided into two sections:

Section 2:  Under the GDPR we are required to update the data protection references in our engagement letters with clients and our standard terms and conditions and in the case of individual clients, provide certain details about Claridges and collection and use of your personal data.

Data Collection
We collect personally identifiable information that is voluntarily provided when you register on our website (user data).  The user data that Claridges receives from visitors includes name, email address and telephone numbers and any other information provided by visitors in email messages or attachments.  User data is collected in order to assist visitors to:

  1. Register for certain areas of the website
  2. Receive updates and property information
  3. Contact us for further information

It is Claridges policy to limit the information collected to only the minimum information required to complete a website visitor’s request.  Claridges intention is not to seek any sensitive information through our website.  Sensitive information includes a number of types of data relating to race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or other similar beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health, sexual life or criminal record.

As a policy, visitors are not required to register to gain access to this site.  Personally identifiable information provided to Claridges through this website is provided voluntarily by visitors.  Should visitors subsequently choose to unsubscribe from the newsletter or any registration we will provide instructions on the appropriate website area or communications to our visitors.

Access
Each visitor has the right of access to personal data they have submitted through this website.
User updates of information should be handled by going back through the registration process.  Enquiries about the accuracy of identifying information previously submitted or requests to have information removed should be directed to contact@claridges-commercial.co.uk.

What are your rights as a client
If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. You can contact us if you have a complaint on how we have handled your personal data.  Unless otherwise agreed with you we will only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any sensitive personal data but does include your name, home or business address, email address and telephone number.
